The objective of this workshop is to become less analytical when relating our emotions and feelings. Through awareness, while experiencing our emotions and feelings in the presence of others, we can become more confident when accessing our creativity. The workshop is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment in which a songwriter can access his or her emotions and feelings. The workshop assists students in learning how to translate their emotions and feelings into lyrical and musical expressions. Through group support and guided exercises, a student can gain the freedom to perform comfortably and confidently in front of a viewing audience.
The workshop has created a paradigm which allows us to journey into the uncharted territory of our inner creative world, where we can explore and discover new ways of viewing and accessing our creativity. We examine new ways to communicate by tapping into our "Emotional Bodies."
This workshop demonstrates how to incorporate our thoughts and images, those which we associate with our emotions and feelings, into our song writing. Improving our ability to monitor ourselves while experiencing our "Emotional States" helps us to project those experiences into our song's content. Through this process, we learn how to create the most effective way in which to verbalize what we truly feel and visualize in our lyrics.
